A. The Personal Interview
- Write down at least 10 questions that you will use in order to interview your partner.
- Interview your partner and write down their answers, taking notes.
- Work in pairs – each pair gives teacher 2 pages. Be prepared to report to the class at the end of the session.
B. Project work
- Read through your project.
- Write the answers to the following questions:
- You will have to be able to speak about your project for about 3 minutes. Write an outline including the
following:
- Introduce your project:
- What the topic is
- Why you chose to do this topic
- What you learned while doing this project about the following:
- Doing a research project in English.
- About the topic, itself.
- Skills needed while doing a research project.
- Did you know anything about the topic before you started working on it?
- Body of presentation:
- What were the main issues that you researched with regard to your topic?
- What did you learn about each issue?
- What issues did you learn about from other members of your group?
- Name two sources you used.
- Where / how did you find your sources?
- Working in groups: (Teachers: be sure you have taught them how to work in groups)
- How many people were in your group?
- Do you think that doing the work in groups was beneficial?
- How did you divide the work among the different members?
- Do you think you worked well together as a group?
- Summary:
- What is your opinion of your project? Did you do a good job? Why/why not?
- What did you enjoy about it the most?
- What aspect did you find the most difficult?
- Is there anything you would change in the way you worked?
- What else could you research / learn about your topic?
- How did you present your project to your classmates?
(C) Interviewing the project:
