CHANCE provides an opportunity for these students to acquire basic reading and writing skills as well as develop effective reading comprehension strategies. CHANCE makes use of a variety of text types to develop students’ sight word vocabulary, phonetic pattern knowledge and reading fluency.
The CHANCE program consists of a Reader with two audio cassettes (containing ALL reading passages and three types of listening activities), a Workbook, and a Teacher’s Guide.
