
Divided into units which concentrate on a particular sound (phoneme), the units are then broken down into a series of detailed lesson plans (less work for the teacher!) where each lesson is devoted to a common spelling pattern for that sound. For example, three common ways of spelling the sound /I/ are presented in three different lessons: i-e (as in TIME), igh (as in NIGHT) and -y (as in CRY).
