Open Word.

Change the menus to English, if possible.
Prepare a new document to write in English
1. Open browser (Internet)

Go to any of the following sites and find one article that is not too difficult for you to understand.

http://www.amalnet.k12.il/meida/english/project/rabin/engi0070.htm
Copy the article and paste it into your word document.
Close the browser (Internet).
Save the word document as pro1.doc
2. Prepare the article that you have pasted into word in the following way:
1. Choose an easy-to-read font in black for the whole article. The font must not be in bold or italics.
2. Center the headline, increase the size and change it to red.
3. Underline the sentences in the article which you think express the main idea.

Remember to save your work.
3. Write two questions of your own about the article. The answers must come from the article.

Write two sentences in your own words about what the article made you think.

4. Mark in italics 8 verbs from the article which have a past tense which is irregular (not with -ed. For example, run-ran).

List these verbs in a table with BASE FORM and PAST TENSE. For example,
 

	BASE FORM	PAST TENSE
1.	run	ran
2.	stand	stood

5. Prepare a front page for the project which will include: your name, your class, the date, the words: FIRST TERM PROJECT (using word art), a picture of your choice.

 
6. Write a few sentences describing what you found easy and what you found difficult in this project, what you learned and what you still have to learn.

 
7. Check the spelling by using the spell-check. Insert page numbers.
