The Santa Clause
(CLOZE KEY)
"Seeing isn't believing: believing is seeing. Kids don't have to see this place to know that it's here - they just know."
Scott Calvin works for a toy company. He has a son named Charlie. Charlie lives with his mother Laura and his step-father, Neil. In the story "The Santa Clause", Charlie stops believing in Santa Clause. While sleeping at his father's house on Christmas eve, he hears a noise on the roof. When Scott goes outside to see what is making the noise, Santa Clause falls off the roof, and disappears. Scott then has to become Santa Clause (so that the rest of the children can get their presents).
The next morning, Scott just thinks he had a strange dream, but Charlie knows the truth. During the next year, Scott gets fatter, his beard keeps growing back, and his hair turns white. Because of all the strange things that have happened to him (and because he begins to remember that he really IS Santa Clause) he loses the right to visit with Charlie.
In the end of the movie, everyone sees that Scott really is Santa Clause, and he goes all over the world giving all of the good children their presents.
