BACKGROUND AND KEY TO THE SONG COLLECTIONS:
THIS PROJECT GREW RANDOMLY AND IS NOT AN ORGANIZED WORK. BUT WHAT IS? Back in the days when most people didn't download and burn songs, I prepared a collection of had someone burn me some songs I liked to use in class.
BELOW IS A LIST OF THE CD'S THAT CAN BE ORDERED FROM ME:
CLICK ON THE FILE ABOVE TO GET THE CD INDEX AND THE LYRICS, EACH ON A SEPARATE PAGE.
- SONG COLLECTION I: POP SONGS CHOSEN FOR GRAMMATICAL STRUCTURES OR TOPICS: ('IF CLAUSES', 'PRESENT PERFECT, SONGS ABOUT WAR).
Note: There are 2 versions of this collection, stemming from difficulties I had with burners, CD's and tapes. If the first song is "The Taxman" you have the old edition. If it's "Lean on Me" you have the improved version)
- SONG COLLECTION II: MORE GREAT SONGS TO USE IN CLASS, INCLUDING SOME GREAT KIDS' SONGS.
- MR MONDAY: Songs specifically written for EFL by professional songwriters in the '70's, practically unavailable today, Web or no web. Great for less sophisticated students.
- BEATLES FOR TEACHING: A collection of favorites with nice, crisp lyrics, universal appeal, and none of this obscene drivel like what you hear on de f'**in' MTV or Gallei Tsahal, mon. (Here, too, I made an improved version: The old one has 22 songs, the new one has 27 songs.)
- KIDS' SONGS: My newest wonderful collection which premiered at ETAI in the summer of 2005
