The Poetry of Robert Frost
The following is a paper summing up the work we have done with Robert Frost’s poems. You will have time to do it in class, but may have to finish at home. Do all the work in WORD, and hand it in as a formal paper, that is with a front page, Table of Contents, Bibliography, etc. use pictures, colours and other presentation devices at your discretion.
1. Go to http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Olympus/1487/
2. Go into the pages about the following poems:
“Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”
and
“The Road Not Taken”
Read all there is about the two poems.
3. Choose one of the poems and sum up two important
points that:
a. we discussed in class.
b. Robert Frost said about the poem.
c. Gene said about the poem.
4. Choose another poem from Gene’s first list. Read the
poem and the comments about it. Write a short
composition giving your understanding of the poem, and
discussing Frost’s and Gene’s comments.
5. Write a page of comments about “Fire and Ice”, to add
to Gene’s page. (You may send it to him if you like!)
or
Write a letter to Gene giving your comments about his
site and about his interpretation of the poems we have
learned in class.
6. Find information on the net (or elsewhere) about
Robert Frost, and write a short biography.
