I am attaching a cloze I used last year based on "Shir La'shalom" in 10th grade 3 point class.

The first lesson I brought the picture of Rabin, Peres and Miri Aloni singing the song - and we talked about Rabin, peace, assassinations.

The second lesson they did the cloze and we sang the song in english and hebrew.

For a stronger class, you could do something like this with Whitman's "O Captain" and Naomi Shemer's translation.
